Nereus ground heat pumps

General operating principle of ground heat pumps

A ground heat pump circulates a heat-transfer agent in soil, rock or a water system. Heat energy is transferred to the heating system using a cold medium. A ground heat pump is especially well suited to low-temperature heat distribution systems, such as water floor heating.

Operating principle of the Nereus ground heat system

The system operates like a traditional ground heat pump, but in addition, the installation of solar collectors (optional) allows heating in sunny weather with just sun or utilising solar energy when the sun alone is not enough. The system is able to utilise solar energy so well that the electricity requirement for heating is 40% lower than with a traditional ground heat pump.
